The reason for this site accessing patient GP records is:
The pharmacy views prescribing and medical information from the detailed record of the patient's GP practice record to support additional prescribing and other pharmacy services. This may also include sending an update to the patient's GP practice when the patient uses an eligible service.

GP Connect permits the sharing of patient data only for the purpose of direct care and is only available in England.

We are an IP pathfinder site, and we use CLEO to issue prescriptions. We need access to National Data Sharing Arrangements to allow access to patient records to ensure prescriptions may be written with all clinical information available
