A private provider of healthcare services who has been approved and assured by NHS England for access to GP Connect as a Provider and/or Consumer to Support Patients with treatment in non NHS care settings such as private hospitals or practices and, or referrals to access the NHS patient records as part of providing ongoing private treatment or care. Private Providers may also provide an update to the registered practice of the care received if consent from the patient is given.
